Through their record-breaking solo flight of five days and fives nights without fuel from Nagoya to Hawaii and the long-term persistence to achieve this goal, Solar Impulse has at all times put their message and motivation for the bigger organizational goal at the forefront and impressively role-modeled the diverse values of sportsmanship.

Mr. Wilfried Lemke, Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace was the recipient of the Ethics in Sports Award in the category ‘Outstanding Individual’ for his outstanding contributions in promoting the use of sports as a unifying tool for peace in the world and his initiatives to set-up projects in conflict zones that give hope and relief to the underprivileged and war-torn.

Des exemples à suivre dans le monde du sport : Le WFEB annonce les noms des lauréats du « Ethics in Sports Award 2016 » – le Prix 2016 pour l’Éthique dans le Sport

Le 16 septembre dernier, trois prix ont été remis lors du Sommet Mondial pour l’Éthique et le Leadership dans le Sport (« World Summit on Ethics and Leadership in Sports »), au siège de la FIFA à Zurich. Les lauréats sont : Solar Impulse, l’équipe dirigeante du FC Basel, et Wilfried Lemke, ambassadeur de la Paix et du Sport de l’ONU.

Zurich, le 16 Septembre 2016 – En organisant le deuxième Sommet Mondial pour l’Éthique et le Leadership dans le Sport (« World Summit on Ethics and Leadership in Sports »), le « World Forum for Ethics in Business » (WFEB) a souhaité porter une attention particulière à deux aspects : d’une part, les défis de gouvernance dans le monde du sport, relatifs aux matches truqués, au dopage ou encore aux droits de l’homme ; et d’autre part, les bienfaits apportés par le sport, et les exemples à suivre dans le monde sportif.

Le moment fort de la conférence fut la remise du Prix de l’Éthique dans le Sport – un prix qui salue la contribution exceptionnelle d’un individu, d’une équipe, et d’une organisation qui ont démontré l’importance des valeurs humaines et de l’éthique au niveau sportif.

La cérémonie de remise des Prix fut présidée par le fondateur du WFEB, le leader humanitaire de renommée mondiale, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. En initiant le WFEB, celui-ci a voulu apporter une transformation positive dans le monde des affaires et du sport, grâce à une approche multilatérale, abordant à la fois l’éthique, la bonne gouvernance et la transparence. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar était de passage en Suisse, avant de partir pour la Colombie, où il assistera à la signature du traité de paix entre le gouvernement colombien et les FARC, le 26 septembre 2016. En tant qu’ambassadeur de paix, il a joué un rôle crucial de médiation lors des pourparlers qui ont mené, l’année dernière, à cette paix historique.

Contribution exceptionnelle dans la catégorie individuelle

Le Prix 2016 de l’Éthique dans le Sport dans la catégorie individuelle a été remis ce vendredi à M. Wilfried Lemke, conseiller spécial au secrétariat général sur le Sport pour le Développement et la Paix des Nations Unies. Il a été honoré pour sa contribution exceptionnelle dans la promotion du sport

comme outil d’unification, ainsi que pour ses initiatives en zones de conflits, apportant espoir et réconfort aux populations défavorisées ou déchirées par la guerre.

Tout au long de son impressionnante carrière dans le sport et en politique, M. Lemke a poursuivi ses objectifs de manière remarquable, en mettant l’emphase sur les valeurs originales du sport et en l’utilisant comme un outil pour servir la société et encourager le développement.

Contribution exceptionnelle dans la catégorie “organisation”

Le Prix 2016 de l’Éthique dans le Sport, dans la catégorie “organisation”, va à Solar Impulse. À travers son vol solo reliant Nagoya à Hawaii, qui a battu le record de vol sans carburant (cinq jours et cinq nuits), Solar Impulse a une fois de plus mis en valeur son message. Le conseil d’administration du WFEB reconnaît en particulier sa contribution exceptionnelle à créer un projet de référence, qui met au premier plan les valeurs de l’esprit sportif, et la motivation suscitée par ces valeurs. Ce projet sert d’inspiration et d’exemple, en sensibilisant le public à l’économie des ressources naturelles et à l’utilisation d’énergies renouvelables. Le prix a été reçu par M. André Borschberg, co-fondateur, pilote et PDG de Solar Impulse.

Prix spécial : Travail en équipe

Le Prix 2016 de l’Éthique dans le Sport dans la catégorie “Travail d’équipe” va à l’équipe de direction du club suisse de football FC Bâle. En conférant ce Prix au FC Bâle, le Conseil d’administration du WFEB salue en particulier les valeurs mises au centre de la gouvernance de la direction et du conseil d’administration du FC Bâle, et leur impact sur le succès durable du club. Alors que, dans la plupart des sports professionnels, seules les performances des stars ou des responsables sportifs sont mises en valeur, la direction et le conseil d’administration du FC Bâle démontrent qu’une gouvernance collective peut être la clé pour créer une synergie et établir un succès durable. Le prix a été reçu par M. Bernhard Heusler, président du FC Bâle.

Par ailleurs, le Sommet Mondial sur l’Éthique et le Leadership dans le Sport, organisé par le WFEB, a souligné ce que le sport peut enseigner aux entreprises ou à la politique, mettant en avant des expériences de RSE réussies dans le domaine sportif, et abordant les défis actuels dans l’éthique du sport.

La conférence a été marquée par une discussion-débat sur la lutte contre la corruption menée par le Prof. Richard McLaren, enquêteur à l’Agence Mondiale Anti-Dopage, ainsi qu’une discussion dédiée

aux défis brûlants de gouvernance dans le sport, avec Hans-Joachim Eckert, président de la chambre judiciaire du comité d’éthique indépendant de la FIFA.

Les intervenants comptaient, entre autres, Gianni Infantino, président de la FIFA ; Ryszard Czarnecki, vice-président du parlement européen ; Marc Tarabella, eurodéputé et coordinateur de l’intergroupe des sports au parlement européen ; Sylvia Schenk, présidente du groupe de travail sur le sport de Transparency International ; Christoph Daum, ancien joueur de football et entraîneur ; Inge Andersen, secrétaire général, comité olympique et paralympique norvégien et confédération des sports ; et Filippo Lombardi, ancien président et membre actuel du conseil des états de la Suisse.

Contexte

Le Prix de “l’Éthique dans le Sport” provient du prix annuel de “l’Éthique dans les Affaires“, octroyé par le World Forum for Ethics in Business pour honorer les individus et sociétés qui ont démontré l’importance des valeurs humaines et de l’éthique dans les affaires.
Le Prix a été institutionnalisé en 2016 et est annuellement présenté au Symposium International du Leadership, organisé par le WFEB au parlement européen. Dix-huit lauréats ont déjà reçu ce prix ces dernières années. En 2014, le WFEB a pour la première fois reconnu les contributions exceptionnelles et durables dans le domaine du sport. Parmi les précédents lauréats on compte l’icône du patinage artistique, Katarina Witt, la Fondation Cruyff et l’équipe Tvillig, Peder et Steen Mondrup du Danemark.

Ethics in Sports Award 2016 geht an Solar Impule, Wilfried Lemke und den FC Basel

Die Preisverleihung des alle zwei Jahre verliehenen Awards fand anlässlich des World Summit on Ethics and Leadership in Sports am 16. September 2016 in der FIFA Hauptzentrale in Zürich statt.

Zürich, 18. September 2016 – Mit der Veranstaltung des 2. World Summit on Ethics and Leadership in Sports am vergangenen Freitag stellte das World Forum for Ethics in Business (WFEB) nicht nur kritische Punkte im Sport in den Mittelpunkt, so zum Beispiel Match-Absprachen, Doping und Menschenrechte. Indem sie positive Vorbilder ins Blickfeld rückte, erkennt die Organisation auch das Gute an, wofür der Sport steht.

Der Höhepunkt der Konferenz war die Verleihung des Ethics in Sports Award, eines Preises, der eine herausragende Persönlichkeit, Teamarbeit und eine Organisation ehrt, die demonstriert haben, dass menschliche Werte und Ethik im Leben wie im Sport einen hohen Stellenwert haben.

Die Preisverleihung vollzog Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Gründer der WFEB und Friedensbotschafter. Mit dem World Forum for Ethics in Business hat er eine Körperschaft ins Leben gerufen, deren Ziel es ist, sowohl in der Geschäftswelt als auch im Sport Veränderungen mittels eines Multistakeholder-Ansatzes in puncto Ethik, Good Governance und Transparenz herbeizuführen. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar besuchte die Schweiz auf seinem Weg zur Unterzeichnung des historischen, finalen Friedensvertrags zwischen der kolumbianischen Regierung und den FARC-Rebellen am 26. September 2016. Sri Sri war maßgeblich am Durchbruch bei den Friedensverhandlungen beteiligt.

Herausragende Persönlichkeit

Der Ethics in Sports Award 2016 in der Kategorie “Herausragende Persönlichkeit” wurde an Wilfried Lemke, Sonderberater des UNO-Generalsekretärs für Sport im Dienst von Entwicklung und Frieden, verliehen für sein besonderes Engagement bei der Förderung des Sports als Instrument der Einheit in puncto Weltfrieden und für seine Initiative, Projekte in Konfliktzonen auf die Beine zu stellen, Projekte, die weniger privilegierten und vom Krieg gebeutelten Menschen Hoffnung geben und Linderung versprechen. Im Laufe seiner beeindruckenden Karriere in Sport und Politik hatte Lemke stets das Ziel verfolgt, den ursprünglichen Wert des Sport zu bewahren und zu betonen und Sport als ein Instrument zu nutzen, der Gesellschaft zu dienen und Entwicklungen anzustoßen.

Herausragende Organisation

Der Ethics in Sports Award 2016 in der Kategorie “Herausragende Organisation” ging an Solar Impulse. Durch ihren rekordverdächtigen Alleinflug über fünf Tage und fünf Nächte ohne Treibstoff von Nagoya nach Hawaii stellte Solar Impulse ihre Botschaft und Motivation für ein größeres organisatorisches Ziel in den Vordergrund. Der Vorstand der WFEB erkennt mit dem Preis insbesondere den herausragenden Beitrag an, ein Meilensteinprojekt zu schaffen, das auf beeindruckende Weise Sportsgeist und das wertebasierte Streben nach Erfolg zeigt. Dieses Vorbild inspiriert andere und schafft Bewusstheit für den Erhalt natürlicher Ressourcen zur Verbesserung der Lebensqualität, indem über den Einsatz von erneuerbaren Energien der Weltenergieverbrauch halbiert wird. Den Preis nahm André Borschberg, Mitbegründer, Hauptgeschäftsführer und Pilot von Solar Impulse entgegen.

Sonderpreis: Herausragende Teamarbeit

Der Ethics in Sports Award 2016 in der Kategorie “Herausragende Teamarbeit” ging an das Führungsteam des Schweizer Fußballclubs FC Basel. Mit der Verleihung des Ethics in Sports Award 2016 in der Kategorie “Herausragende Teamarbeit” an den FC Basel erkennt der WFEB-Vorstand im Besonderen den wertebasierten Führungsstil von Management und Verwaltungsrat des FC Basel und dessen Einfluss auf den nachhaltigen Erfolg des Clubs an. In einer Zeit, da im professionellen Sport vor allem die Performance einzelner Sportstars oder offizieller Würdenträger im Mittelpunkt steht, zeigen Management und Verwaltungsrat des FC Basel, dass gemeinsame Führung ein wesentlicher Schritt zum Nutzen von Synergien und für nachhaltigen Erfolg sein kann. Der Preis wurde von Bernhard Heusler, Präsident des FC Basel, entgegengenommen.

Der 2. World Summit on Ethics & Leadership in Sports wurde vom World Forum for Ethics in Business organisiert. Als Multi-Stakeholder-Plattform ging es bei der Veranstaltung in erster Linie darum zu untersuchen, was Wirtschaft und Politik vom Sport lernen können, erfolgreiche CSR-Aktivitäten in der Sportarena aufzuzeigen sowie die aktuellen Herausforderungen in der Sportethik zu bewerten und anzusprechen.

Zu den Höhepunkten zählte eine Podiumsdiskussion zum Thema Anti-Korruption unter Leitung von WADA-Doping-Sonderermittler Prof. Richard McLaren sowie eine Diskussionssession über die aktuellen Brennpunkte in der Sport Governance mit Hans-Joachim Eckert, Vorsitzender der rechtssprechenden Kammer der FIFA-Ethikkommission.

Zu den Rednern gehörten unter anderen FIFA-Präsident Gianni Infantino, der die Teilnehmer in der FIFA Zentrale begrüßte. Außerdem sprachen Ryszard Czarnecki, Vizepräsident des Europäischen Parlaments, Marc Tarabella, MdEP und Koordinator Sport Intergroup im Europäischen Parlament, die Leiterin der Arbeitsgruppe Sport bei Transparency International, Sylvia Schenk, der ehemalige Fußballspieler und –trainer Christoph Daum, Inge Andersen, Generalsekretärin des norwegischen

olympischen und paraolympischen Komitees sowie des Sportbundes, und Filippo Lombardi, ehemaliger Präsident und amtierendes Mitglied des Ständerates in der Schweiz.

Hintergrund

Der Ethics in Sports Award hat seinen Ursprung im jährlich verliehenen Ethics in Business Award, der vom World Forum for Ethics in Business an Individuen und Unternehmen vergeben wird, die gezeigt haben, was es heißt, menschliche Werte und Ethik im Leben und der Geschäftswelt in den Vordergrund zu stellen. Der Award wurde 2006 ins Leben gerufen und wird jährlich beim International Leadership Symposium verliehen, das vom World Forum for Ethics in Business im Europäischen Parlament abgehalten wird. Seit dieser Zeit erhielten 18 Preisträger diesen Award. 2014 erkannte die WFEB erstmalig herausragende, nachhaltige Beiträge in der Sportwelt an. Der Ethics in Sports Award ehrt Organisationen und Persönlichkeiten, die eine Führungsrolle übernehmen, wenn es darum geht, ethisches Verhalten im Leben und in der Welt des Sport zu verkörpern. Do sport athletes have a superior social responsibility? 2nd World Summit on Ethics & Leadership in Sports confers Ethics in Sports Award

Zurich, 16 September 2016  – At a time when the world of sports is facing increasingly large leadership challenges and has moved far away from its original objective, a focus on true sportsmanship and absolute adherence to the rules of the game on and off the pitch were at the forefront of the agenda.

Prof. McLaren, WADA Special Investigator, Wilfried Lemke, Special Adviser to UN Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace for Sport, Ryszard Czarnecki, European Parliament’s Vice President and 53 other world-class speakers gathered to mutually discuss and assess the current situation in the world of sports and explore the way forward.

Participants and speakers agreed that the commercialization in sports threatens to overshadow the values that sports uphold. “Sport at the elite level is no longer amateur but professional. It’s a business first, and sports second. Win-at-all-cost attitude in sports is like the business model to maximise profits”, said Prof. McLaren, Special Investigator from the World Anti-Doping Agency. In this regards, solutions for protection of the purity and integrity of sports were identified and discussed in workshops and panel discussions. 

FIFA President Gianni Infantino welcomed the 250 international delegates from 35 countries at the home of FIFA, which served as the venue for the Summit. He highlighted the necessity of FIFA to be an open organisation whose mission is also “to foster and encourage these events, taking into consideration the social impact we create”.

By organising the 2nd World Summit on Ethics & Leadership in Sports, the Brussels-based World Forum for Ethics in Business not only focused on bringing attention to the critical challenges related to sports governance such as match fixing, doping and human rights, but also recognized the good that sports stands for by celebrating positive role models.

The conference proceedings highlighted the conferment of the Ethics in Sports Award, a prize that recognized an outstanding individual, a team and an organization that have demonstrated the importance of human values and ethics in life and in the sports arena.

“In the face of corruption it is high time to wake up and take corrective measures. We should take life as sportive. Sports can play a major role in uniting the hearts and minds of people”, said Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, WFEB founder and global humanitarian who was presiding over the award ceremony.  With the World Forum for Ethics in Business he has institutionalized a body that aims to bring about transformation through a multi-stakeholder approach to ethics, good governance and transparency in the world of business and sports. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was visiting Switzerland on his way to the signing of the historic final peace treaty on 26th September 2016 between the Colombian Government and the FARC rebels, where he supported a major break-through in the peace negotiations.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino welcomed the 250 international delegates from 35 countries at the home of FIFA, which served as the venue for the Summit. He highlighted the necessity of FIFA to be an open organisation whose mission is also “to foster and encourage these events, taking into consideration the social impact we create”.

By organising the 2nd World Summit on Ethics & Leadership in Sports, the Brussels-based World Forum for Ethics in Business not only focused on bringing attention to the critical challenges related to sports governance such as match fixing, doping and human rights, but also recognised the good that sports stands for by celebrating positive role models.

The conference proceedings highlighted the conferment of the Ethics in Sports Award, a prize that recognised an outstanding individual, a team and an organisation that have demonstrated the importance of human values and ethics in life and in the sports arena. 

“In the face of corruption it is high time to wake up and take corrective measures. We should take life as sportive. Sports can play a major role in uniting the hearts and minds of people”, said Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, WFEB founder and global humanitarian who was presiding over the award ceremony.  With the World Forum for Ethics in Business he has institutionalized a body that aims to bring about transformation through a multi-stakeholder approach to ethics, good governance and transparency in the world of business and sports. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was visiting Switzerland on his way to the signing of the historic final peace treaty on 26th September 2016 between the Colombian Government and the FARC rebels, where he supported a major break-through in the peace negotiations.

In a moving ceremony, the audience applauded the winners in the category ‘Outstanding Organization’, Solar Impulse. Through their record-breaking solo flight of five days and fives nights without fuel from Nagoya to Hawaii and the long-term persistence to achieve this goal, Solar Impulse has at all times put their message and motivation for the bigger organizational goal at the forefront and impressively role-modeled the diverse values of sportsmanship. Mr. Wilfried Lemke, Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace was the recipient of the Ethics in Sports Award in the category ‘Outstanding Individual’ for his outstanding contributions in promoting the use of sports as a unifying tool for peace in the world and his initiatives to set-up projects in conflict zones that give hope and relief to the underprivileged and war-torn. The 2016 Ethics in Sports Award in the category ‘Outstanding Teamwork’ went to the leadership team of the Swiss football club FC Basel for its value-based leadership style of the Management and Board of Administration of the FC Basel and its impact on the sustainable success of the Club. 

A day prior to the Summit, WFEB launched an Interdisciplinary Think Tank on Ethics and Leadership in Sports with participants from the European Council, European Parliament, FIFA, Transparency International, NOC Norway and more with the first focus lying on the organization of major sports events.

The dire need for role models in sports: WFEB announces Ethics in Sports Award Winners 2016 

The Award that will be conferred on 16th September during the World Summit on Ethics and Leadership in Sports at the FIFA Headquarters in Zurich will recognize an outstanding individual, organization and extraordinary teamwork

 Zurich, 14 September 2016 – By hosting the 2nd World Summit on Ethics and Leadership in Sports this Friday, the Brussels-based World Forum for Ethics in Business (WFEB) will not only focus on bringing attention to the critical challenges related to sports governance such as match fixing, doping and human rights but also recognizes the good that sports stands for by celebrating positive role models.

With the World Forum for Ethics in Business he has institutionalized a body which aims to bring about transformation through a multi-stakeholder approach to ethics, good governance and transparency in the world of business and sports. Organized by the World Forum for Ethics in Business, The World Summit on Ethics and Leadership in Sports will elaborate on what business and politics can learn from sports, showcase successful CSR activities in the sports arena and assess and address current challenges in sports ethics.

Amongst the highlights will be a panel discussion on anti-corruption led by WADA doping investigator Prof. Richard McLaren as well as a dedicated discussion on current burning sports governance challenges featuring Hans-Joachim Eckert, Chairman of the adjudicatory chamber of the independent FIFA Ethics Committee. One of the two pilots of Solar Impulse, the First Solar Airplane to fly around the world only with solar energy, Mr. André Borschberg, is also expected to give a key-note speech.

Background

The Ethics in Sports Award stems from the annual Ethics in Business Award conferred by the World Forum for Ethics in Business to honor individuals and companies that have demonstrated the importance of human values and ethics in life and in the business arena. The Award was instituted in 2006, and is presented annually at the International Leadership Symposium organized by the World Forum for Ethics in Business at the European Parliament. 18 winners have received this award over the past years. In 2014, for the first time, WFEB recognized outstanding sustainable contributions in the sports arena. The Ethics in Sports Award recognizes an organization and individual that have been a leading role model in radiating and embodying ethical behavior in life and in the sports area. Previous winners were figure-skating icon Katarina Witt, the Cruyff Foundation and Team Tvillig, Peder and Steen Mondrup from Denmark.

WFEB richtet 2. World Summit on Ethics and Leadership in Sports am 16. September in der FIFA Zentrale aus 

Der anhaltende Doping-Skandal und die allgemeinen drängenden Governance Herausforderungen im Sport stehen im Mittelpunkt des Konferenzprogramms, das eine hitzige Debatte zur Bewahrung der ursprünglichen Werte des Sports verspricht

Zürich, 24. August 2016 – Führende Entscheidungsträger aus Sport, Politik, Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Nichtregierungsorganisationen kommen zum zweiten Mal in Zürich zusammen, um die gesellschaftliche Verantwortung des Sports zu diskutieren und bewährte Praktiken ethischen Verhaltens im Sport vorzustellen.

Die Veranstaltung wird vom World Forum for Ethics in Business organisiert und wird als Multi-Stakeholder Plattform untersuchen, was Wirtschaft und Politik vom Sport lernen können, erfolgreiche CSR-Aktivitäten in der Sportarena aufzeigen sowie die aktuellen Herausforderungen in der Sportethik bewerten und ansprechen.

Der Gipfel wird eine Mischung aus inspirierenden Keynote-Ansprachen und themenspezifischen Workshops sein, um das Gesamtwissen und die Erfahrung der Teilnehmer zu bereichern und ein Programm für Maßnahmen vorzuschlagen.

„Angesichts der immensen Bedeutung, die dem Sport in unserer heutigen Gesellschaft zukommt, wird es immer wichtiger, Fairness und die Diskussion zur Ethik im Sport ins Zentrum der Betrachtung zu rücken“, sagt Rajita Kulkarni, Präsidentin des WFEB.

„Der Sport hat heutzutage einen wichtigen Einfluss und hat die Fähigkeit, entscheidende ethische Werte zu fördern und soziale Probleme anzugehen. Um sein wahres Potenzial zu realisieren, müssen wir seine Integrität und Schönheit erhalten“, fügt Wilfried Lemke, Sonderberater des UNO-Generalsekretärs für Sport im Dienst von Entwicklung und Frieden und bestätigter Keynote Sprecher des Gipfels hinzu.

Das World Summit on Ethics and Leadership in Sports ist hochkarätig besetzt und erlaubt es den Teilnehmern, an globalem Wissen teilzuhaben und Diskussionen mitzuverfolgen, die zum Nachdenken und Austausch von Expertise anregen.

FIFA Präsident Gianni Infantino wird die Gipfelteilnehmer in der FIFA Hauptzentrale willkommen heißen; FIFAs neue Generalsekretärin wird eine Keynote Ansprache halten.

Zu den Höhepunkten zählt eine Podiumsdiskussion zum Thema Anti-Korruption unter Leitung von WADA Doping Sonderermittler Prof. Richard McLaren sowie eine Diskussionssession über die aktuellen Brennpunkte in der Sport Governance mit Hans-Joachim Eckert, Vorsitzender der rechtssprechenden Kammer der FIFA-Ethikkommission.

Eine Vielzahl themenspezifischer und handlungsorientierter Workshops zu Inhalten wie Menschenrechte bei Sportveranstaltungen, die Kosten des Erfolgs und die Rolle der digitalen und anderen Medien zur Förderung von Ethik im Sport laden zu intensiven Diskussionen und Analysen ein.

Zu den bestätigten Rednern zählen unter anderem Ryszard Czarnecki, Vizepräsident des Europäischen Parlaments, Marc Tarabella, MdEP and Koordinator Sport Intergroup im Europäischen Parlament, Transparency Internationals Leiterin der Arbeitsgruppe Sport Sylvia Schenk, Frank Dassler, Leiter der globalen Rechtsabteilung bei Adidas, Christoph Daum, Trainer der rumänischen Fußballnationalmannschaft sowie FC Basels Präsident Bernhard Heusler.

Aus Indien anreisen wird Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Begründer des WFEB und international für seine humanitäre Arbeit bekannt.

Auf dem World Summit on Ethics and Leadership in Sports wird auch der Preis „Ethik im Sport 2016“ verliehen. Der Preis ehrt eine Persönlichkeit sowie eine Organisation, die die Bedeutung menschlicher Werte und Ethik im Leben wie auf dem Gebiet des Sports in den Mittelpunkt ihres Handelns stellen.

Einen Tag vor dem Gipfel wird das World Forum for Ethics in Business  eine interdisziplinäre Arbeitsgruppe lancieren, nachdem globale Akteure aus allen Sektoren starkes Interesse an einer vertiefenden Zusammenarbeit zu den Themen Ethik und Leadership im Sport mit der in Brüssel ansässigen Stiftung signalisiert haben.
